Has anyone had the Yoko Geolanders HT-S G052's?? If so, how do they handle and can I use 265-60/18 on 18 inch stock wheels? I was wondering if the wheels can handle a 265 tire. I also don't want to screw up my ABS... I like the look of the tire alot and they're snow rating is excellent.

All info appreciated!!!!

Try using the seach feature - 265s are no problem.

.
265's fit the OEM wheel ..... they may be a tad larger than recommended - can't remember the recommended rim width for a 265 - but they fit.
.
265-60's may require the cladding to be trimmed - 265-60's were fitted to my VX when I purchased it and the cladding needed to be trimmed. I traded them for 255-55's after a few hundred miles.
.
There are a few downsides to the 265-60 size - when compared to a 255-55. The 265-60 is heavier. The 265-60 may be more subject to issues with balance. The 265-60 may 'wander' more when driven over crowned and/or irregular road surfaces. The speedo will be off when using the 265-60. The 265-60 may 'throw' more 'crap' onto the cladding. The 265 size may be actually be wider than optimum for use in snow.

Thanks!!! I spoke with a local tire co. and he said 265's would be too wide in the snow. I think I'll go with the 255/55's. Appreciate your help!

I found an awesome deal on some Goodyear Fortera 245/60R18 tires. Can anyone tell me if they are worth having? They are basically new truck (SUV) take-offs, the guy traded for new wheels and tires when he bought his new vehicle.
Thanks,
Neal

Sounds like they're stock tires on the Buick Rendevous... does that mean anything to ya? ;)

Anybody out there with tires over 12" wide? How far do they stick out past the vehicle if your wheel is zero offset?

I have been told - and read - that tires can be 'too wide' for optimum performance in snow ......... but I do wonder .........
.
I had one vehicle (Nissan Pathfinder) with 31 x 10.50's ........ BF Goodrich All Terrain TA's ........ the tires worked very well in the snow ........ light snow ....... deep snow .........
