Can someone show me a pic or drawing where the PV2 goes?

Thank you

Just look under your truck, driver's side just before the rear wheel. That's your muffler, replace that and that's where the PV goes.

You mean that big muffler gets replace with the smaller PV2?

Is there supposed to be an HP gain? and how much should I expect to pay for installation?

Thanks.

Quite a bit of gain (10-20), about $50.00 to have it done right.. have them mount flanges rather than cut off and weld on so you change it out if needed.

I can't tell if you joking or not... please don't take that the wrong way, but I just can't tell if you knew that or not. The PV2 is a muffler, so it would just replace that of your original muffler. Whether you witness the original coming off or not it is a MONSTER and there is a bit of weight savings as well.

Did you buy one Tomcat?

I really didn't know by just looking at it.
I am getting one from another member here, for 120 or 125 I think plus S&H, I think it is slightly used and they sent me pics... I want to show you the pics and let me know what you think, ok?

Sure! Post 'em! By the way, it's a great mod. Top mods for the money in my book. I have an original PV (PV1, I guess) and love the sound and performance. I could feel the extra power in my butt-dyno.

PV2 muffler quite a bit smaller than my original PV!, also not near as mellow. Careful though when parking off road ( Grass fire) as the PV2 being smaller stays hotter longer as less area means it takes longer to dissipate the heat.

Looks like they already welded it on and then cut it off. I had them use flanges on both ends of mine, that way if I needed to take it off for any reason it would still be in good shape. When you take it into the shop they might have to cut those ends off to attach it to your pipe.

It also looks like they welded it directly to the tip (ie: more toward the rear of the vehicle). Mine was placed right in the middle of where the old muffler sat. Move it more toward the front or more toward the back will change the sound of pv.

BTW, if its not to warn, you should be able to see an arrow on the actual unit that says which way it should flow.

I think I spent about $65 total for my install.
