Went to replace in back speakers today, followed the direction on how to take off the Side quarter panel...got everything but the F*#$ seat belt!!!

How to you remove the seat belt (top part), the part that sides up and down for the front seat belts?

I push, pulled, tugged, pryed, turned, slide, forced and I even called it a few bad names!!!! And still could not get it off.

HELP- and please don't tell me to pru off the top and just unbolt it! The plastic case goes all the way around it. Just in case there is a difference...I have a 99

Thanks ALL!

Hey Tomcat837

I have several CD's on the VX. One I got from...I think Ron. It show how to take-off, remove everything on the VX. It has illustration and everything....Very cool.

I also bought an Isuzu Shop Mechanic CD. It has everything for how long it take to fix a problem, cost, labor charges. It made for a shop so they know how much to charge you for the service. BUt it alos tells me...what they should be charging (HEHEHE). I also have a problem Dianostic CD. You tell it what you think is wrong, by sound, item...whatever and it has a list of things it could be. And last but not least, I bought the original Isuzu parts catalog for the VX. It's free in here, but it's very fuzzy..a little hard to read. So I bought it myself.

VX922 Thanks for the Gif file. I do have that one and I follow the directions and still could not get it off.

You see, that's were I'm lost. The plastic goes all the way around and only has a slot about 1/2" in the back. How do you pry off...without breaking the plastic?

If you have a picture...would love to see it.

You do know that the shoulder belt has a sliding height adjustment, don't you?

Seat belts...what are seat belts???:rotate:

Slidy thingy......yes, I know about that, I just for whatever reason could not the stupid plastic housing off. Very similar to how you remove your center mirror..I moved it up, down, twisted, rotated..did everthing but the right thing. Oh well, that's why we have a forum..right???

my big problem was the "oh shi_ handle" I never could figure out how to get it off . the best way to get to the speakers is to go from the back...pull the side out enough to work.

I call them my "Praying Handles", because everytime I go for some air...the person always screams...."OHHH JESUSSSS! as they grab for the handles.

Anyhow, those ones are easy..just pry up the outsides and slide them towards the center. They are tough to move, just make sure as your prying not to slip and poke a whole through something. If you have a rubber-coated (or wrap a cloth around it) very small screwdriver you will not damage the plastic on the handles.
