This is the type of console/dash mod that I have in mind. I'd rather see it not be C/F, but matching the existing dash instead. Something this size would really change the look & feel of the VX interior, and it would be relatively easy to work out areas for monitor screens, new toggle switches, custom stereos, as well as better air vents and temp controls. Ideally, it would fit over the existing main dash assembly.

Shift lever location may be a dream breaker.... Any ideas or suggestions?

I'm going to fab up something similar to the VX-o2 dash... I will build out from the stock dash, blending the new central dash into the new console WITH a pair of freakin cupholders for front and a pair in the rear! I will put airvents up high with my touchscreen monitor just below and front center channel above. Below the touchscreen monitor will be my CD RW/DVD ROM Drive and floppy drive for my computer... I will also have plenty of room in there for those added switches for extra gadgets. I hope to start that fabrication ASAP once the motor is running... hopefully that will be within a month or so.

TTYL!

Coach... I mean Randy (I often forget who I really am) ;)

Hey coach, that sounds like an awesome idea. I've been thinking of installing a mobile computer in a custom center console myself. Most of the guts would easily fit underneath the armrest if you were to build a MicroATX enclosure. I wouldn't even bother with a floppy drive though; a couple of USB ports would be better, as you can always use a thumb drive to transfer small amounts of data.

VX922-
I guess from the picture, you already have thta cluster sitting in your hands? Yeah, that would be a kewl idea but since I don't have a Vette ECM I don't know about all those extra buttons... are you gonna get all of thos functional? Or will you set them up to do diffrent things... and maybe have them silk-screened with new labels? That would be a decent idea... I don't recall what all of those command center buttons are or...

kpaske-
Well, I am putting the floppy in there since I picked it up for about $10 new... and have it sitting here... as for USB ports... I guess I didn't mention... my M10000 has a PCI back-plate that has two USB ports and two firewire ports... I'm going to flush those into the dash as well. That way I can do as you said AND I can also plug a digital camera or camcorder into the system... I have a BIG box of goodies that were working their way towards my VX when the motor went... now they are collecting dust... oh, and my main audio source will be my XM PCR... PC based XM receiver... very slick deal.

Anyway... TTYL!
