Just curious if there is a market for airbags around here... from that statment I am sure you can guess... I have done some thinking... and between my personal opinions of the saftey of first generation airbags, the fact my son (seven years old) shouldn't be near an airbag, and the fact that I have hacked almost every wire within the front half of the VX... I have decided to remove the airbags. Might be different if they were second generation airbags with side impact curtains as well... but thats not the case. Though I think it would be GREAT fun to set one off, I don't care to waste money that I could use on this project... sooo... I have looked on eBay and found that airbags go for $100-$150 each and upwards of $600-$700 for a pair depending on the vehicle. I have removed both airbags and the control module from under the center dash... I plan to take molds off of the steering wheel and dash panels before I unload them, but if anyone here is interested... lemme know. If not, I will post on eBay Like before, I will consider any reasonable offer.

Coach- I'd be interested in talking to you about the airbags. I'll contact you off the board. (PS - Thanks for the tip Billy!)

I have a spare steering wheel airbag, I believe out of a rodeo, but it appears 100% to be the same as the VX steering wheel.

I would take a reasonable offer, or trade.

There was a time when I could get airbags cheap, and we used to make paintball claymores from them to use in scenario games.

Or it could be a very large Scottish broadsword, but not in this context. :-)
