Thinkin about getting a second set of wheels/tires for off-road trips. Is there anything wrong with using a cheap set of 15" steel rims and throwing some nice tires on em?

You may also consider scouring the salvage yards for wheels off a Trooper. I have a steel rim I use as for the spare.

I got a cheap set of wheels and threw some nice tires on my VX. Just make sure they fit if you don't want to trim the cladding.http://www.vehicross.info/gallery/data/500/80procomp1-med.jpg

Perfect! That's what I'm gonna do...Saw some cheap steels for $25 on tires.com.
