Any suggestions on where I can purchase a rear brake backing plate? After 17 years, hard to believe but, the originals are rotted away. My mechanic cannot find the part. I told him I have a secret weapon. This forum. Please advise. Many thanks!

Not cheap: https://www.isuzupartscenter.com/parts/1999/Isuzu/VehiCROSS/Base?siteid=216496&vehicleid=43806&section=BRAKES&group=BRAKE%20COMPONENTS&subgroup=REAR%20BRAKES&component=BACKING%20PLATE

Cheaper, but still not cheap: https://isuzupartscenter.com/parts/1999/Isuzu/VehiCROSS/Base?siteid=216496&vehicleid=43806&section=BRAKES&group=&subgroup=&component=&searchText=&startRow=1&maxRow=10

There are also some “parts” vx’s on the FB page, I will post a link there to this thread.

Hit up Dan Danslister on the VehiCROSS Facebook page. Or PM him from the forum. I forgot his name here but it's something like lizardman...

Specifically looking for some backing plates for the rear brakes and brake shoes. Was able to find one backing plate on eBay but need both. Still searching net and thought maybe someone on the forum might have some more ideas.

There are still new parts outlets out there, and parts to be had, but expect mark up since we are a dead breed. I priced up a headlight housing a few weeks back and it was damned near $500. I recently priced up a headlight assembly for a GTR and that was $40 cheaper, heh.

Gary, My particular needs are not to be found in the United States. I'm literally awaiting a container ship from Japan to obtain my
parts which could take approximately two months. I got all excited because I found one of the parts I needed on eBay but he didn't have the other side so that was that.

Yeah, might be time to start getting our hands wet with some paper mache or clay in order to reman what we need. ;)
