Today me and my wife took the VX past the end of the pavement. This was a shake down run to test a lot of different things. Suspension, transmission, TOD, low-range, tires, the works. I found a long stretch of sand, going up a hill, that forced the TOD to engage for around 100-150 feet or so. Seemed to work great. In fact, everything was just, amazing.

The only issue I had was with shifting back to high range. While testing low range, crossing some deep ruts and some mild rocks, it worked very well. I got out and checked everything, still good. Got back in, shifted into neutral then shifted back into high range. Still good. Shifted into drive, and a grinding noise. I stopped, shifted into park, then back into drive, still a grinding noise. I stopped again, shifted into neutral, then shifted the transfer case into neutral then back into high range. Seemed to fix it. It only happened the one time, so it is not a concern yet, but I have taken note of it in case it happens again.

Picture time!
