Starting Tuesday, I'll be driving 2000 miles across the country; Utah to Georgia. The plan is to head from SLC down past Moab to 4-corners enroute to Albuquerque. Then east on I40 & eventually down I75 till I get to Warner Robins.

I probably won't see anyone or any VX's on my way...but I thought I'd say hi, just in case. If you spot a murdered-out VX with 3-spoke wheels & purple WO seat-covers parked somewhere or going by....that's me.

Toodles!

I'm Going the other way this Sunday. '99 Silver VX. Florida to Oregon. Taking I-10 to Phoenix then North. Hauling a 5x10 trailer too. I just got this ride so I hope she makes it. Cross your fingers.

Well 2100 miles later, no incidents. Drove like a champ. Even got over 300 miles on a tank at one stretch, before the wife wanted to stop for gas for her truck. I had over 1/8 tank left at that point...so no doubt in my mind that it could do more. Didn't burn a drop of oil from what I can tell. I checked it twice along the way...but this engine has never seemed to burn any oil--since I got it. Might have been rebuilt by a previous owner. I'm not complaining.

600+ miles per day is really pushing physical/mental stamina...not the VX. lol!
