I will be in need of a new front bumper (cladding) in 2017. When the weather warms up, I'll need to replace mine as it now has a tear in it.

I see a couple on ebay (new for $800...SERIOUSLY! LOL) Will consider good used or maybe new...depending on price.

Let me know what you have and/or if you've seen a well-priced one somewhere.

My local bumper shop lists them at $356ish...but maybe that's an old price?

I wonder if a "tear" can be repaired by a bumper shop? Kinda doubt it because of the "sanded finish" on our cladding.

I will also need a couple more torx fasteners and their plastic receivers.

It can be repaired if you can find a shop willing to do so

I think you can still get a new bumper but the price is $546.93 and it will be on a slow boat from Japan, the used one for $350 is a pretty good deal if the condition is good.

I bought a new one when my VX killed a Subaru and it looked great until I bent and scuffed it in Moab last year, so a used one might be been better unless you do not go off road and want the nice new one and have the extra cash for the new bumper.

And with the new one you're likely to have a color variation at the fenders between the new and the current as well.

Several years ago, I sprayed the cladding with matte black paint. Then again 2 years ago. So color match isn't important. I'm currently checking into urethane repair. The first shop (bumper specialty) refused to look at it because of my paint. Dr. Dent and Maaco said they'd look at it though....

$550 is too much for a new bumper. It's too high a percentage compared to the value of the vehicle.

$350 might also be for a used cosmetic piece though I might be forced to consider that route -- if unrepairable.

Send me your email and I will dig it out of the garage for photo. Price will be based on condition as memory fails me. Where are you located as shipping can be pricey for larger irregular items my email is djhorchak@gmail.com
