Checking it out, it is the real deal.

Look at the red on the steering wheel, how the seats look and the factory look of the engine compartment. I really think this is a Brand New VX.

I will be following this auction closely.

@BigSwede, thank you for bringing this to our attention!

There is also a 1999 Trooper with 51 miles...

Subbed. If this goes for <10k, someone got away with highway robbery.

goddamn. 26k is an insane price for a prowler with 219 miles.

Not sure if they are related, but there is an Ellingson Car Museum and Ellingson Classic Car dealership in Rogers, MN, not far from Somerset, WI where the auction is. Might just be a coincidence though, because the estate is called Ellingsen, slightly different spelling.

My only concern would be how well the car was prepped. The mechanicals might be nearly shot if he just parked it, rather than draining fluids, putting it on blocks, etc.

Kind of strange that he would put a k&n air filter in it and pretty much never drive it. And what are the red circle badges on the hood and engine cover?

Not to mention the Tazmanian devil floor mats. But I'll give those away free if I win. :)

I don't like having to pay for the entire thing before picking it up. I would prefer half at auction end and the other half at pick up. That's just me.

Possibly I could assist in any pickup efforts, Somerset is about 50 miles away from me.

Check out the entire lot...they've got some really nice cars/trucks.

Suzuki X-90 is very nice with less than 500 miles!

Yes, in the description is says that they were dealer purchased and never driven...could be someone's next money pit if they're not careful.

Guys, check out this lot of wall art that NO ONE has bid one. There is a cool VX poster included! https://www.k-bid.com/auction/9303/item/42?offset=42

If back then and I had my choice of colors silver would not be one of them, but its a freak of a low miler.

Those who have owned VXs for a while, would you consider this a new benchmark or a steal? Just curious on thoughts. I know ours is priceless.

Id say was a good deal not a steal theres some in the 40/60k mil3 range asking 8-10k. So id say was bout right on maybe a few thousand short

Got to wonder what would happen if you started driving it on regular basis? I could see Leaks galore, if it wasn't stored properly.

You'd automatically be spending hundreds if not a couple grand on Mx. Needs all new belts, hoses, tires, battery, and potentially even motor mounts, ball joints & other random rubber bits that decay over time. I'd assume that the door seals & stuff would still work, but idk. Even potential that the exhaust needs replaced, if it's sat with water in it for that long (and most exhausts collect water when hot).

68k here with supercharger. No fluids, belts, etc need pampering. Custom ABS light is a feature.

Yep, it's a deal, not a steal.

My wife would have killed me if I'd even bid on it. Besides, no vehicle is PERFECT from the factory.
