All - this may be redundant; I apologize if it is. Also, I didn't know Tone when he was alive - so I mean no disrespect by this post. I just wanted to add some information about his popper system.

After reviewing his system, and various pictures of the parts - I think I have managed to find what should come close as all the parts needed as provided in his kit. Some of these (or variants of them) have been posted before. Anyhow, here goes:

Spring Plunger:

Solenoid and Button Kit:

Pin Switch:

I have no affiliation with any of these sellers or items; there are other similar items and kits on Amazon, and I suppose elsewhere as well. I was just researching implementing the popper system, and decided to see if I could find the same (or similar) parts. The above list seems like it is very close to what Tone used; I hope it does his memory proud...

Peace.

I had my local audio shop build and install my popper.

Good looking out! There are a lot of people wanting this info (I know I was, and I could never find it). You can use the OEM hatch popping button from a Rodeo to replace the opening trigger if you'd like for it to look OEM.

There are a few items that came with the kit that are not on your list. Mainly the pulley and the attachment for the popper and the rear latch. Here is how I made out with sourcing somethings that worked for me:

Hmm - didn't know that was part of the kit! I love your ingenuity with the use of the binder clip piece, though! :)

Hey Earl, what is the binder clip piece for?

I used the metal piece in the picture to attach the wire from the popper to the latch on the rear door by creating a hook.

From looking at the install instructions from the original seemed like the best way to create what was supplied.
