Here are a few before and after pics of my '01 Ironman. I installed a (Indy4x) 2" body lift -"sucked", and a Pro Comp 1" coil spring spacer. Also got new 18x9 Ballistic Scythe wheels and 275/65R18 Atturo Trail Blade MT tires. Had to modify the front wheel wells as well. All said and done, it's sitting 4" higher.

Thanks. :p

Alignment is definitely coming, I just have to make sure I'm happy with the t-bar height first.

you'll have to readjust your t-bars after a few months. I have to redo mine soon. My tires are barely starting to rub now when I turn. Thinking I may go with the HD torsion bars, but they do make it much more of a stiffer ride.

Did they start to sag on you? Is this common when you raise the front end up?

Who makes and sells the HD t-bars?

Search is your friend and all, but here's a link (https://www.independent4x.com/Heavy-Duty-Isuzu-Torsion-Bars_p_23.html) anyway. Have it at. Oh, and here's a thread (http://www.vehicross.info/forums/showthread.php?t=23161) I started after I installed mine.

Enjoy,

Dog,

Plan ahead. Indy only does a production run on those a few times a year. Get on the list for when they are available.

I know that many have gotten lucky and they were able to order them when they wanted/needed them ... but that wasn't my luck.

They don't actually sag like springs but the t-bar bolts tend to loosen up after you lift it. I would have to adjust mine every 3-6 months to level height. A friend of mine had the same issue with his yota and ended up putting a nut on the top of the bolt to prevent it from loosening.

V- Thanks for the links, I'm amazed that the HDTBs and shocks made that much of a difference on your rig.

Tom- Thanks for the heads-up on the supply; I checked, and they say they have some in stock.

Jon- Did you have HDTBs before you went all Bad@ss?

And what does the install entail? Is it just a matter of supporting the frame and axle, and then unbolting the TB Nut? I would imagine that there is a sweet spot in the distance that the axle is away from the frame that would put the TBs at zero load, and how do you find that spot? I would think that if the TBs were unbolted and still under any kind of load (either pos or neg) things could get a little sporty; and then the install of the new ones may be f'ed up as a result.

I just had the OEM T-bars but was planning to go with the HDTBs to help with the large tires.

All you need to do for the install is lift the front tires off the ground (this puts you at zero load), remove the large T-Bar key bolts, remove the 2 per side nuts holding the t-bar flange to the a-arm, pull the old t-bar, install key & flange onto HDTB and reverse order. When you get back to the large T-bar bolt, you'll need to re-adjust your ride height.

Definitely soak everything in PBblaster prior to the install. Scott and I nearly stripped one of his flange nuts trying to remove it.
