The wife and I decided to do some rafting for the first time on my birthday while we were in TN. It was awesome! Water was freezing cold, river was running high due to recent rain. We had so much fun, and I got to play with my Go Pro finally.
When we got home in VA, I looked up rafting and whaddya know, we have the only class IV rapids that run through a city just 45 minutes away in Richmond, so for the wife's bday, we decided to do that. Got some more good video, but I think we are bored with the raft and want to try kayaks or duckies (small inflatables). The guide managed to throw me in the river, which was warm as bath water. She called it, I said no way, I lost.
The Go-pro takes surprisingly good pics considering I have no view finder.

that water looked green not white to me! kidding that looks like a lot of fun - years back we went out to the snake river in wyoming and went on an all day rafting thingy it was a blast i would love to go again - tn has some really beautiful rivers too ive never been rafting there but i try to make it to pigeon forge at least once a year - and yeah gopros are nice i have one with an underwater casing and take pics in the pool all the time - audio a little weird underwater on them though

I held out on the go pro fad until my buddy brought his to Uwharrie in the spring. Got some awesome video from the fender that we couldn't have gotten any other way. I wouldn't waste money on the black, but the white shoots great video for 100 bucks less, and you can use your phone as a controller. Now I need the new waterproof samsung smart phone, and no more remote needed! I borrowed my friend's remote for the rafting trips. Works like a champ. I am sold on the Go Pro from here on out. I ordered extra batteries and wall/car charger on Ebay for like 25 bucks shipped! I can't upload the rating video on here, but I will put one on Youtube when I get really bored and share the link.
