I had a wrench that was welded with an off set and it worked great, it was a 17mm, you are welcome to use but cann't get it to you till 2morrow, have too much to do today after work. hit me up with PM.

Would one of those flex head ratchets work?

I also had to have a friend make a special tool. IIRC is was the end of a socket cut in half and welded to a openend/boxend wrench. Don't recall the size, but 17mm sounds right. If Giz can't get it to you let me know and I will drop mine in the mail.

If I remember correctly I pulled the starter bolts out and was able to used a ratchet with an extra long extension. This made it quite easy to remove the bolts.

perfect off set!!!

Now that's my kind of Enginerd-ing!!!

Sounds like the time I bought a $30 spanner socket ... & took a grinder to it before I used it for the first time. BTW, did I mention that I have the perfect tool to tighten your hub nuts to set the pre-load on the front bearings if anyone ever needs to borrow it.
