I finally installed the rest of the components I got from Travelin2.

The WARN hubs were installed quite a while ago.

The modified driveshaft with quick disconnect went in a few months ago.

The mounts for the tow bar were fabricated & installed a few weeks ago.

The control for the quick disconnect was installed the day before we left for Myrtle Beach (just livin up to my procrastination reputation).

The mag mount tow lights were installed the night before we left.

The VX towed quite well but I do need to install a braking system. I have the concept in my head & now just need to start working on it.

This is the RV park where we stayed. The ocean is on the other side of the lake (5 minute walk).

I need to contact Travelin2 & let him know how well it worked out. This is the setup that he used to tow his VX from WA to FL before he sold it.

I think I'll get a second (shorter) tow strap to keep in the VX. Those tow bar mounts will make a great snatch point. The shorter strap will go between the 2 mounts and have a loop to attach the longer strap to.

I'm going to remove the brackets to paint them & will probably add some side plates to the angle iron to make them 'overkill' strong.

BTW, zero accumulated miles whilst towing (expected but good to verify).

ROFL ... No!!!

Tent was purchased at local WM upon arrival for Boy (rekin he knew that the only way to sleep till noon was outside).

Great!

I was thinking the same thing...about the tent.
Sleeping in till noon, that must be nice.

Great stuff Tom. And that place looks downright idyllic!
