HOLY CRAPOLA GANG! :freek: Glad everyone's OK so far.... hope more peeps check in OK. ;ooo;
I was watching it live on TV.....:freek:...saw those orange 40" tractor trailer boxes flying around.
In my 11+ yrs there Dallas/Plano never had one hit...until 2 months after we moved to AZ...and it was pretty mild, only took out the 2-story tree in our front yard and lots of other foliage/trees/greenery around town. :eek:

What a day! most of it was a few miles to the west of me. I was in a aircraft hangar, and all I could think of was all of the news footage of tornado damage at airports that are on tv showing "what was" an a/c hangar that you normally see after tornado's....
I've never seen the channel 8 new helicopter go into the hanger faster!!
They landed just as it started to hail, the blades were still spinning by the time it was in the hanger:eek:

X3!!!!!
Last year a good friend had to claw her way out of a crushed house after a tornado here in OK. No matter how amazing the footage is showing trailers flipping up 50'... don't forget that people who got hit directly suddenly don't have a place to sleep, a car to drive, clothes to wear, food to eat, a way to call friends/family for help, etc. It takes a loooonnnng time to get things back together and it can take even longer to truly recover emotionally.
Very humbling and tragic. :( Help however you can.

I grew up in SW OK and lived in OKC for 5 years.OK gets alot more storms than the Dallas area. Almost every night in the spring(not tornados) but heavy thunderstorms.The same way they have brief showers every afternoon in Florida
