Yeah.....I don't think my newly purchased stock VX would like hanging out with your VX

2B, I think that you would be surprised at what a bone stock VX is capable of.

s47, nice vids. Way to get out and enjoy your VX.

A few friendly observations...
1. Rock sliders are your friend :)
2. Applying a little ebrake will help lock up your rear limited slip when a little extra traction is needed.
3. Save yourself a little grief on the trail...get a tree strap to use with your winch.

Here's some my buddy took. It's mostly jeeps, but there's a good one of the VX getting though a mudhole with some good shots of the flex.

Rock sliders are planned, and the e-brake trick was being used with little effect :yesb:

Need lockers and a tree strap for sure

The ebrake thing works well. It's no locker, but helps a lot. You may have to play with it a bit to find the sweet spot. If your ebrake is tight it only takes a few clicks, if it is like mine I have to pull mine nearly all the way up.

Or....

keep it clean, dent and scratch free, and stay away from territory that is on the other side of the curbs. Just some friendly advice from THIS side of the curb. ;)

My E-brake is more for show than anything ATM, I had to use it as my brakes a while back when my rear caliper desided to throw the pad and use the piston for stopping power, never did replace the shoes. I know ill get flamed for it but the rest of the brake system is new.

That being said it still gave a small amount of drive to the desired wheels but not when the difference in grip was that huge, or when I really could have used it.

Away from the other side....... that sounds like blasphemy, the VX is too good off road to let it go to waste on pavement. lol.

I still have pics to get from the guy driving the tan jeep, but he posted them to facebook and I cant get to them from where I work so I'll have to wait till he moves them to photobucket or something.

Bah, it's a much better urban mall crawler, curb hopper than an Escalade or H2 ANYDAY! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. ;)
