Has anyone purchased replacement studs for the hood insert? I am trying to find where to buy some. I am talking about the bonding fasteners that get epoxied to the underside of the insert and provide the studs that are used to fasten the insert to the hood. They look like a flower and mine are all rusted and need replacing.

Posting here so others might find the information that they need:

They are called bonding fasteners. You can find suppliers by searching this term on Google or Yahoo.

If they're just rusted, give them a shot of Rustoleum instead of replacing them.

I have a few OEM ones (not a full set) laying around if anyone needs 1 or 2.

I removed them from my LineX'd insert & went with through bolts

I had these from a sink I was working on and they worked perfect. I just threw away the brackets.

When improvising, please consider coating metal with an anti-rust/paint layer. If you don't know the make-up of the metal, it may rust when used outdoors. Rust is how those studs end up "de-laminating" from the underside of the insert....which is to say they aren't perfect either.
