I'm on co-op right now with Kohler Engines in Kohler, WI doing Electrical Engineering in the Test Lab. I was just curious is anyone out there is rockin a Kohler Engine in any of their lawn and garden equipment/generators/power washers/welders/ect.? What do you guys think of them as far as quality/performance/reliability? I am just a bit curious. :yesb:

I have a Kohler Command 26hp engine in my Cub Cadet lawn mower. It has been rock solid so far. Yearly oil changes and air filter changes, about 250 hours on it.

I work with a lot of Kohler gen sets in boats and yachts. Not a bad design considering the salt water they run in.

Interesting post. I have had bad troubles with my B&S, on its third starter in 2 yrs among timing and adjusting and such.

This may make me finally get a Kohler.

I actually work at a desk by the lead engineer for all of our starters in the Test Lab. A few of my co-op friends are under him. They do some crazy tests to make sure we have nothing but the best on our engines! It's a sweet deal.
