I wouldn't use it. I'm sure it's safe and reliable. I just don't see it helping the environment much. They don't have all this used oil sitting around with no use for it. It gets used for a bunch of stuff. If I really wanted to help the environment I'd stop burning gasoline, and that's not gonna happen.

And with all the oil issues of these engines, I'll stick with new, unused, unrecycled oil. Thank you very much. :yesy:

Sorry deermagnet, but if they can show that it has the same properties as the regular oil, why not? It may be more expensive, however

In order to consider used oil who ever proposed that must provide, prove and certify that the used oil wouldn't cause any damage to my already problematic engine in order to help save the world from doom.

I always thought that the oil companies somehow does buy back that recycled used oil and re-refined to sell it back although i have no hard prove to back my theory.

Me always being skeptical, "they" can and will say about anything to save the world from doomsday.......and make a sell, charge that little bit more to save the world. I wouldn't use it, and like said above, that used motor oil already has uses other than being in an auto again. I wish the research would go into productive things other than this.

My motor oil is already recycled from dinosaurs.

Not a chance, how are they removing all the acid? That's why the viscosity drops and the oil becomes bad for your motor in the first place. It doesn't wear out. I'm much more in favor of Canola based motor oil from Canada. Completely biodegradable.

Valvoline already has a recycled oil/new oil mix on the market.

As far as urine for anti freeze...i saw that in the movie "sex drive" :)

They use used cooking oil for make up women put on their faces. If thye can clean that stuff up I am sure they can seperate impurities from motor oil
