Ok so I will have my ironman here in the next few weeks.I am going to have to sell our 2010 Fj trail teams :madgray: ,but I will keep the rims ( you have to have a vin number to buy these rims) Here is what they look like stock.

I want to do one of two things. One remove the silver ring all together and they will look like this.

Or remove the silver ring and get the ring powder coated white to keep a white and black theme.

What do you think will turn out best?

White could look really nice. Here's a pic of an Isuzu show VX with white rims. Looks good IMHO.

All white would look pretty good I think, but I ment powder coating the silver ring white and keeping the rim black.

x2...I think the white would look great!

Your other option might be red to highlight the rims and match the red in the ironman logo if it's still there. We have a member in Austin wtih a black FJ that has these rims with the red metalic ring that look awesome.

x2. Powder-coat the main center of the wheels in WHITE, and have the outer rim edge done in RED. The Ironman VX edition trademark colors are "White & Red" (as per its VX-Logo), so it would stay with the same theme. Using Black centers as you suggest would be really boring and not build upon the Ironman theme of the VX (IMHO).

I agree with this too! The black wheel is getting very trendy and I suspect will go the way of chrome in the next few years as more "colored" wheels come out. I think the white and red would be sharp, and with a few tasteful small red accents would set off the rig very well.

without the rings. White/red the way to go on an ironman, black on a PROTON, However black rims with chrome spare just doesnt do it for me.

Thanks...lol. I have a cover over the spare now, so no more chrome on the back door:)

HI BRANDON, If you are selling tires that will fit a Vehicross we can purchase them from you. Take care, Rich

All black for sure!!!!!! Those rims look too good in black to paint them anything else.

I was looking into getting FJ trd rims (either style is on ebay) but they're only 7.5" wide. Any tire above 285 really needs a 8" or wider rim :(.

I guess I missed this, but does the FJ wheels fit on the Vehicross? If so, this will aid in my rim search. :yesy:

I am pretty sure they have the same bolt pattern, but double check back spacing!

Any factory OEM light-truck wheel from Toyota, Nissan, Chevy/GMC, and other Isuzu trucks (of course) will fit with the 6-5.5 bolt pattern. These wheels can be had dirt cheap at many wrecking/junk yards. Just be cautious of the backspacing/offset when searching for alternate wheels for the finicky VX.

Don't Mitsubishi Montero rims fit as well?

What backspacing/offset is OK for the finicky VX?

:bgwb:Whoa there cowboy. The GM offerings are a pick and choose affair because of the center hub bore variables. '88-Current GM full size half tons are a no go but the Canyon/Colorado/H3 are options. The older full size trucks should work as well.
