With iamironmans' help I have completed my 2002 Axiom Motor swap...all new engine parts and a lil polish...Feels like a major power increase but i made sure everything was to factory specs ( asside from the new Axiom Head design) 41k miles on Donor 2002 Axiom and now with everything New I am happy the Oil Consumption threat is over! Cheapest Swap I have ever done! Only $2300 for Axiom Motor and $2612 for parts and labor ( i did some)
I want to keep this VX:) forever!

Wow, congrats! A week, I thought this kind of thing would take much much longer! But then again, I can barely change my own PCV valve, so you guys ALL impress the heck out of me! Glad to hear of another success story in case somebody else needs an Axiom transplant in the future

Wow. very good. I was thinking bout this an hour ago cause my engine goes tap tap tap over the no. 1 cylinder and I don't think it is the belt tensioner. So a rebuild or change out may be in my future.

Thanks for keeping that very special VX on the road. :yesy:

x2 - It may never add literal $ value to your VX, but its lineage certainly does have significant sentimental value. Always good to see a well-loved VX find its way into the arms of another enthusiastic owner.

P.S. Pics pics pics!!! :p

In the collector car world, that is known as "provenance", and can multiply the value of a vehicle many times over. That VX has a proud heritage!
