The pic is from a Jeep I do nott rust sellers who say they have a part for the VX and do not show a VX. I have heard horror stories of mods needed and ill fitting low quality materials. Universal fit means doesnt fit. Most of the sellers use a posting agent that will post they have it for every car and waste your time rather than eliminate the cars they do not carry for

Take a look at the detailed diagram lower in the ad that clearly depicts the appropriate pieces for a VX dash. I believe medman put one of these kits on his VX (see his gallery for pics); PM RallyDude for his in-person impressions as he is now the current owner.

I think they do fit; whether they look good or not is probably more debatable. Personally I would only consider the black carbon fiber color, as that seems less likely to clash with the rest of our CF trim than some of the lighter CF and metallic colors they offer.

As long as its not the faux wood trim it should look okay. Carbon fiber doesn't look bad or maybe the brushed aluminum would look good.

I installed a red/black carbon fiber trim kit way back about nine years ago. The company I got it from is not around anymore. It went on in less than one hour. The fit and quality are outstanding! It cost about $340 back then. The huge pieces for the glove box and just to the right were optional and added almost $100 to my cost. I love it and can't imagine my VX without it. I've gotten so many compliments on my red/black interior and the trim kit. I remember back then when some of us were installing these kits, the negative crowd claimed these pieces would fall off eventually. Well, nine years later not even one piece has come loose in all kinds of weather from -15 to 100+F. Maybe twenty years from now a piece will fall off and they'll be right. :_confused

These are some old school film photos from back when it was new before digital cams were invented. ;)

pretty cool mark,(The Crimson King!)...was skeptical, but, after seeing your pics,... it works....was the labor estimate close to what the ad predicts...between 45min and 1 hr install?

I did a couple edits and added the less than one hour install. That includes prep. It's all about the prep. Honestly, 45-60 minutes is dead on.

im hoping one of the lighter burl woods will contrast well with the proton yellow...as your reds of leather and CF seem to compliment each other...as well as work with factory CF....still thinking if...and thats if i could get a match to the factory CF...it'll be to much

Pretty sure the factory wood interior kit in Wifey's Escalade is Faux wood...and it looks darn nice....so my cup remains half full

not diggin the aftermarket trim around the airbag hole, above the glove box, or on the glove box for that matter....wasnt one of those guys that used every piece provided in the old "3 in One AMT Model Kits"....Mark you got a different option...better...than the Ebay version....maybe to much for me in a wood burl though

Honestly I'm not feeling the center dash part of the overlay, the fact that the kit only covers the mostly vertical faces (i.e. not the area over the steering column, or between the vents) makes it look a little less clean than it might otherwise have. The center console, on the other hand, is major

If you're considering one of these kits, you might also want to think about just painting the dash outright. Would take a bit longer to do, but the dash is really easy to remove, and buying a can of spray paint would be much cheaper. Here's an example of what can be done from workmeistr's gallery. I've seen it in person and it is OUTSTANDING.

But the spray can looks so much better. The surface areas look even as opposed to the stick ons. As original owners know 6 disc CD players were original they sucked and broke and several decided to instal the cup holders down below and a real stereo with CD player in one

Also the orange original interior clashes with the red stripe look of the new stuff in my opinion.

Definitely could use more cup holders....the wifes soda always wins out over my cup of coffee...hot coffee in the lap = No Bueno

But IMHO it doesnt look any better than the original. All this is a matter of personal taste of course.
