Does anyone know a good Isuzu dealer in Chicago Area. My VX struggles to go over 60 MPH. Thanks.

Sorry not in that area, but can I ask what happens when you try to go that "high"? Does the transmission just never upshift into 3rd/4th? Or is it something else?

The engine gets a little louder and vibrates more. It does change gears O.K. and It is pretty peppy in lower speeds.

I have had good luck at M'lady Isuzu in Crystal Lake

Unfortunately, I think there might not be any (though I have not been to M'Lady, and they could be the exception).
I have had Espo's Auto Service do most of the service to my VehiCROSS.

Many other owners have had their VX serviced by Sam, so (unless you are getting warranty work) you might want to call him.

Whatever you do, DO NOT take your VX to Evanston Subaru in Skokie. They were going to charge me $6800 for a new transmission (that I didn't need) when all mine needed was a new filter & gasket. They even had the balls to tell me I didn't have 2nd or 3rd gear anymore. Odd when Winter Mode worked just fine...

I just noticed that you are in St. Louis...

Call Merlin @ St. Charles Isuzu
1-800-727-8066 - mention the forum for a discount on parts.

Thanks, RAZ. I am closer to downtown Chicago. Crystal Lake is a little too far.

Thanks for the advice. I will give Sam a call. I think it maybe a timing belt issue.

I actually bought my VX new from St. Charles Isuzu and had it serviced there while I was down there. They do have a pretty dissent Isuzu mechanic and service department.
