I'm doint a race in Columbia, South Carolina this Saturday. It's a 4.2 mile course full of mud and 32 obstacles. 4 person team. There's a $2000 prize for the winning team but I don't think we will be very close to that. It's me, my buddy and his friend from TX who all do triathlons, and our 4th member backed out last minute and we ended up with someone we have no idea who they are, they train MMA and want to do it just for the workout... I hope he's not a heavy weight that's gonna get winded in the first couple obstacles.

Anywho, I'll be in that area all weekend, partying, running, climbing, falling and more parties. So hope for a victory!

Muddy Buddy's are a blast! Make sure your shoes are on tight so they don't get sucked off by the mud.:bwgy: Have fun and good luck!
I will be doing a local tri this weekend as a tune-up race/speed workout.

It was a friggin blast!!!

Several scratches, bruises and bumps but no broken bones. The replacement dude turned out to be in fantastic shape. We haven't got finaly finish places yet, but when I find it I'll share.

One of the team mates was actually talking about a warrior dash and Spartan Race where you throw a javeline and other cool crap like that! I'm going look into one of those next.

Do you also compete in screaming "THIS IS SPARTA!" ? ;)

There is a Spartanburg in SC btw...

Not only that, but you also get to kick the slowest team member into a deep dark pit!!!

We finished 114 out of 2600ish teams in the coed groups. I'm sorta happy and sad at the same time. We all thought we did much better than that, but it's also the first race any of us have done like that before, and having just met 2 of the 4 team mates the day of the race it's not too terrible. We are all looking forward to next years race, and something like the warrior dash or spartan race sooner than later too.
