Well, it finally happened to ME too - my CD changer bit the bullet! My buddy, who's like a NASA engineer, proceeded to take the ENTIRE changer apart, down to the last screw, and put it back together again (all by memory) - STILL wouldn't work! Luckily, I had squirreled away a Dual XD622W new in the box several years ago - I was gonna put it in my (now gone) '88 Porsche 911 Coupe. Now I realize that this radio ain't for ever'body - it's about as "old school" as you could get back in ~2005. My goal was to have something as close to factory stock-looking as possible; also, because I'm an old geezer, I don't go for all that fancy "light show" nonsense that it seems is the modus operandi of virtually ALL modern replacement radios these days! I simplified it even further by polishing off all the "superflous" nomenclature - the model number, the "208 Watts" proclamation, the "CD-R Compatible" announcement, and the "Compact Disc" nonsense - I already KNOW all that stuff, and don't need to be reminded of it everytime I get in the truck! It also has a 7 station weather band too. Where the CD changer was, I installed a 6 CD holder. Here's the results; for the record, the radio is WORLD's better! Radio reception is phenomenal, and the CD player is killer!
