Can anyone read German - are they selling these models?

My German is a bit rusty but it appears they're basically describing the components used to customize the model.

Use this to translate sites and words: http://babelfish.altavista.com/

The translated site: http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/urltrurl?url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.lowrider-modelle.com%2Feuro_isuzu-vehi.htm&lp=de_en&tt=url

Translation is never perfect, but enough to give you an idea.

Its a shame that the "Ghetto Blaster" is something that is catching on elsewhere, and defines our styles here. I will die if I ever see a "pimp" Porsche. Maybe even with the "player" genital rims we saw on one VX post in the past. Maybe if it catches on overseas, we can export them all. LOL

That's the image we project to the rest of the world... or at least a part of teh California custom image... if anything we've got ourselves to blame for it. "We" in the general sense, not us in particular. Well, maybe some of us. Be real, look around, how many of us here have big subs and/or big sub boxes in the back of our VX's? It's what we see in forums, it's what we see at car shows, it's what we see on MTV, it's what we see in magazines... monkey see, monkey do.

Somebody please explain to me how "momoney" is english:?:... gimme a break.. If I ever see a pimped out lowrider VX i will personally kick in their headlites and slash their tires:fyi:... i mean c'mon, if you wanna drop your POS tricktruck or put 20" counter-rotating rims on your '92 Accord that's your business. Don't ruin a truck that already turns heads everywhere you go. Just my opinion obviously...:madb: :flame2:

I agree with paultvx. When you go to a car show that is always what attracts young people to check out a car. Some of us do have big subs and even a video system in our rides. some do it for attention some do it cuase they can and a few others do it for the fact that their kids might get bored sitting in the back on long trips. It's an ironic thing that we like to customizes our VX's but when someone goes even a little against what we would do to our VX's some people come out with just negative remarks. I beleive their is a saying that goes " Variety is the spice of life"
You must admit that it is a good looking toy to have. Some of us here have some crazy looking VX toys. Like the awesome VX 4x4. Once I'm done building all of my Tamiya VX's in stock colors and options. I will be doing some with custom interior as will as putting some 20's and off the wall things in a couple.

I realise that is YOUR opinion, and I rarely ring in on flames, as you put it, but I think that if someone drops $20k+ down on ANY car and wants to haX0r the heck out of it, it's their right. I dont agree with slamming a VX, but I personally wouldnt mind losing 2" of the height. Wouldnt be slammed, but it would aid in offering a lower profile. So, DO stay away from my headlights and my tires. (I know what you mean by "pimped out" though, and mine would NEVER be some frame dragging, 3 wheels standing, airbrushed Jesus mural, nightmare. ;) )

As for what we portray to the rest of the world, I dont think it matters, since the REST of the world tends to live right here in this country anyways. Remember always, we are a melting pot. If a few Mexicans or even Germans want to make fun of or sweat something that is considered to be "American", the wider picture might show that the clown that produced this "something" might be Mexican or German in the first place, just living here. ;)

Heh, exactly. I would never go THAT low, but IMHO, I think it's pretty trick looking. Imagine if that little sucker had a nice beefy 302 or something in it, haha. A ground hugging, drag stripping, piece of Detroit and Japan all mixed into one to make a sweet little 1/4 mile machine.

That pic was originally done by Cyrk I believe. I just cropped in my VX to see how it would look in black. Pimping out and tricking out a car are 2 different things in my book. :D

I actually kinda like it...just don't see mine that way! Definately looks more "carish". I've always (secretly) thought that the VX reminds me of when it was popular to take a car and put it on a 4x4 frame (usually jeep). Years ago I used to see Camaro's and other sports cars up on a 4x4 chassis. When the VX came out, it reminded me of this. I feel that if you took a Mitsubishi Eclipse and put it on a RAV 4 chassis you would have something that resembles/reminds you of the VX. I could enjoy looking at someone elses like this...but, I feel to give up ride height and all it's advantages would not be worth it too me personally. Would be neat to have 2 VX's...one set up stock or lifted and the other lowered!......okay 4 VX's....one stock...one lifted...one lowered...and a VX-O2 convertible!!!!!!!!!!!

In my dreams!

I think it sorta takes me back to when the Typhoon and Cyclone came out. We always consider "trucks" and "SUVs" to be 4X4's. With the Typhoon, they pretty much said "Hey, even a truck can be fast and sporty, without having to be a mudder." I liked their approach, even if I wasnt a fan of the Typhoon and Cyclone. Heck, years ago, someone even took a Countach engine and stuck it in a Hummvee. There is really no limit that you can take a car/truck to. Sure, too much and it starts to look like a fingerpainting by a 3 year old, but just enough and it can look like one heck of a ride. Take the Mooncraft for example. Now that cat had intentions on making somehting NOBODY had. He succeeded and it came out very nice.... even if I dont agree with the color. :p
