Idler Arm Bracket Weak????

Just wondering if I am the only VXer that has gone thru four (yes four) idler arm bracket/berring assembly?

I have bent the stockers up pretty good, and the aftermarket ones berrings failed after only 6 months???

Has anyone else had this problem, or am I just too hard on chit?:confused:

I am thinking that the HD tie rods that are avalable, do not have the proper angle-travel as the stockers...They BIND under full droop BAD!!! Bending both the tie rod ends AND the idler arm shaft-bolt...

Hmmmm... I did have to replace either part or the whole assembly about 7 or 8 years ago. I remember buying OEM, but that's all I remember... sorry. I have the Indy 4X tie rods and haven't noticed any problems yet, but I think you're right about the angle travel. I'm sure after posting this I'll have major issues now. Oh well.
