Hey! :)
Was doin the rocker covers on my trooper 6VD1 when i noticed it has a vacuum pipe missing and no PCV valve. Got a PCV on order from Isuzu £3.60. Heres a pic of where the pipe is missing...

I guess this must normally be connected the PCV? Can anyone confirm this please?
Any help would be much appreciated. Im also thinkin if fitting the oil catchers.
Cheers, Al

The two valve switches are parts 14A and 14B.

The one with the black round piece on the end should be 14B with two hoses. One going to F which is the Back Pressure Transducer that connects to the EGR Valve. The hose #56 in the image goes from the BPT to the EGR. The other hose goes to the Throttle Body right below the large air intake opening.

The other switch is 14A with one hose going to the other connection on the Throttle Body. You can see the two hose connections under the air intake in the image.

Your PCV valve should be on the top of the left valve cover.

Hey Mark,

Thanks for this detailed reply man thats amazing!!

My 14A switch in the diagram has two connectors on it tho? Its the same as 14B but without the black round thing... strange! It is a UK spec Trooper.
Ones connected to the throttle body the other is not connected to anything.

Both connectors on 14B (with the round black thing on it) are hooked up okay.

The grommet for the PCV is there just no valve.
Isuzu now have it in stock so im gonna pick it up soon. When I put the PCV in where does the other end normally hook into?

BTW I see you have good taste in music mate, Im from the home of the Beatles and also love Floyd. If youre after any Beatles stuff from Liverpool I can probably hook you up man!

Thanks again for the reply, second post on here and Im astounded!

Cheers, Al :coolb:

Yeah, if you look close on the 14A it shows two hose connections, but only one is used. I would just plug it.

Your PCV #133 will have a short hose going to the side of the chamber just left of the throttle body.

Pink Floyd has probably influenced my life more than any person. Roger Waters and David Gilmour are my heroes.

Thanks again Mark, I think there may be something else connected to that part of the chamber that shouldnt be there.

I saw Roger Waters a few years ago in Manchester, was an excellent concert!
The lyrics are really well crafted and say a lot about the things that need changing in our society. Particularly The Wall, I listened to this album a lot when I was about 16 but didnt really get it, just liked the general vibe of it. Listening to it now it means so much more, in fact and I might sit down and watch it this weekend!

Cheers, Al
