Thanks for the reply Mr Rocket. If anyone can post the numbers that are on the unit that would be great. if Greesemonkey does not replay soon i might pm and annoy him :D

I also need to replace my Alternator, it seems that the vx is not charging whislt idling...
so i am thinking aftermarket replacement. Any thoughts?

hmmmmm, get the scan guage fitted!!!! mine reads around 13.5V at idle and doesn't really increase through the revs. If i have stuff running at idle it will drop down to 12V but will go up to 13.5v as soon as it gets over about 1000 rpm

I have the scan gauge and i love it :bgwo: mine sits around 13.5 as well. Temp was up to 83 c yesterday but it was 40c out and i was in heavy traffic. Temp hovers between 79 and 81 on a warm day.

Great little gadget that scan tool, shame it does not read the tod error codes.
I found a great Auto elec guy yesterday with a can do attitude so i will see what he can do next week.
