What if... the VX is converted to a 4 door? The donor chassis would either be a Axiom, Trooper or rodeo and maybe a rodeo mid section with VX front end and vx rear end. Is anybody good with photoshop? I wanna see how it would look like.

Thats easy.. its already been done and not using Photoshop!
Say hello to Rodeo stretch 4dr. prototype, now being housed at the Los Angeles Peterson Auto Museum. Created by Isuzu, it traveled to auto shows, but never intended to go into production.

To ME, 90% of the "beauty" of the VX is that it IS a 2-door, in a World of "me too" 4-door SUV's! You live in the US and you want to buy a new or reasonably recent manufacture TWO DOOR SUV/PUV........your choices are WHAT exactly?

That's what I thought....;)

I dunno, I think it looks weird and awkward. IMO it makes the VX a kid carrying grocery getter. No thanks. I like the "coupe" look much, much better.

+1 - Kind of like looking at a stretch Hummer or something. Very obvious that the four door body was an afterthought of an original 2-door design.

That's what I thought....;)Exactly!!!! I would have loved to have added a WRX, EVO, or even a Baja (Turbo) to my garage for fun, but they all have that same problem... four freakin' doors!!

Want a cool 2-door SUV/PUV... buy one of the many concepts built but never produced! Hurray for Isuzu for having the nads to carry through with the plan!

Yeah, I definitely agree. If a 4-door practical SUV is what you want, then you bought the wrong vehicle if you bought a VX.

Just do what I did, save up a small amount of money and go find a nice 4 door 1st gen Trooper! Problem solved, and for cheap!! ;)

The VX4 is not my thing 'though I'd love to have just a tad bit more wheel base out on the trail. And I would much rather have the VX4 dash...It has a few more curves than our squarish "old" looking dash.

+1 - Btw, you guys realize that the VX-4 basically became the Axiom right? Same/similar chassis, engine, drivetrain (2H/TOD/4L), even two-tone interior (on cloth models at least).

X2

Love the dash & the steering wheel.

Man i can have that double din screen :(

I saw few axioms, mostly 2004 with the two-tone color in leather interior.

But there's no way i was getting a 4 door'er VX in my driveway,not a chance.
