My experience is that a bra should only be on the hood when you are in motion. If you leave it on all the time it will become destructive to the paint!

I only have mine on when I'm traveling...otherwise I take the 1 minute to pop the hood and remove it.

If you leave it on..you will take the chance of accumulating dust (why I took mine off during Moab run!....thanks Todd for the reminder!!) that will act as sandpaper and scuff the paint.

Plus, if moisture gets in it will begin to build a dull film on your paint.

Plus...sun that gradually fades your entire paint job (normally not noticable) will NOT fade the paint under the bra and voila...tan lines..lol.

I speakith with experience...did all the WRONG things with a bra on my '82 Trans Am...swore up & down I'd never use another bra again!

When used PROPERLY, they work!

the magnetbra is magnetic.. so it does not move once its put on (at least it moves very very minimally)

www.magnetbra.com.. i dont think the VX shows up on his website, you have to e-mail him about it, but many members have used them, very few have had issues, i think one member had her paint kind of scuffed from it, another had issues with lots of bubbles in the bra itself (think that was replaced for free though)

basically if you order the magnet bra just make sure to take your time when you install it.. wash the area very well first, use a good quality wax liberally to protect the paint under it, and remove it every month or so to clean and re-apply wax under it, once the bra has been on for a week or two its much easier to install again

I can vouch for the effectiveness of the bra

Hi, I bought 2 hood bras from a company and they fit perfect. They're soft underneath and black leather. They strap on under the hood to hold it down but the whole bra slides over the front part of the hood for a tight secure fit. It really makes the VX look great. E-mail me at ronaldmal21@aol.com and I'll give you the company name/info. It cost $94 custom made. I ordered an extra one just to have as a spare. Fast service too. You won't regret it.

that magnetic bra looks good! i will have to think about it, it all is based on how much my ABS light problem costs me... hopefully its something simple!

Now where have I seen that VX before ... now I remember ... your dirty pix were the after pix from when you parked it in a tadpole pond:)

The magnet bra is fantastic. Last time I took it off for cleaning - Wifey came out & told me to put it back on ... 'it doesn't look right without it anymore'

Opps! I meant Magneticbra not Magnabra.:homer: I had mine on for about 4 months and didn’t see any problems. Make sure you prep it properly before you put it on and you should be fine.

I didn’t. It took about 30min to get it just right. But I tend to take my time on stuff like this.
