What is the highest mileage on a vehicross you would feel confortable buying. At what mileage does it have a adverse affect on the price. Thank you.

Maintenance records are probably more important than mileage, but figure about 12k miles/year i.e., '99 (sept. of '98) with 50k mi. for $15,000 is respectable.

Start at $24-25k base price. Then, deduct $1k/ 10,000 mi. and $1k/ years old and you should be in the realistic ballpark.

Mileage always affects the price, which is why all of the online price calculators ask the mileage. Just use one of them to determine a fair price for any vehicle you're interested in:

I'm interested (just for the sake of it) in knowing if a large mod like the supercharger makes much of a price difference to a dealer? Trade in looks to be between $12k - $13K for mine, not including SC. I know tires and light bar won't make a diff., but does the SC? If so, what, like $500... $1000?

To a dealer? I think it might be a hard sale trying to get them to give you more money for it. I'd spend half a day removing it (if that's possible) and sell it online.

Ya know dealer will tell you that a SC, wheels, tires etc. don't mean squat for a trade in...but they are the first to market the vehicle that way!

Right... because dealers make more off of used cars than new cars (most of the time). If I WAS going to sell mine, I would sell to a private party... even though it is a bit of a hassle.

A dealer will find every excuse to cut down your trade-in value... and that's a deduction from their already ridiculously low offer.

Mods don't mean jack as far as the dealers are concerned... it only matters once the vehicle is in their possession. Then, they turn around and ask for a few thousand more than Blue Book (which is high to begin with) and cite the mods to potential buyers as the reasons for the markup.

When I sold my VW I did much better returning it to as stock as I could and then selling the mods separately. The offers I got while the car had mods weren't even ridiculous... they were moronic.
