Well since I have started to get a bit more active on here I thought I would ask the question..
How many original owners are still active here and Whats your mileage.?
I have an 01 Dragon Green, I bought new in July of 02.. it has 38,xxx miles on it. (Semi Driver.. coast to coast.. so it spends alot of time in the driveway).
just curious..

I am not the original owner, but bought my 2000 dragon from the original owner in south florida in 2006. It had 38,000 miles and I have only put about 1,900 on it since then. Total miles now on the VX are 39,900.
I drive my 1999 Amigo most of the time and the VX to show off.

Can't say that I'm an original owner, I think I will go through life always getting used cars.
Regardless, I'm a second owner and now have 92k on mine. I bought it for driving and taking care of, so I'm not bashful about the mileage.

I bought our 01 Proton from the original owner last year with about 34K showing. It now has about 40K showing ('course the odo is off by 10% due to running 33's).

Man, you guys are lightweights!
I bought mine from the original owner in May of 06, it had 24,XXX miles on it. I will roll 70,000 on the way to Moab.

O.O. and almost 36,000....still haven't squirted the windshield washers, used the mirror hearters, or the rear defrost...ever:p

I'm the third owner of my '01. Purchased it in 2003.
1st owner lived in Flordia. He put approx. 15,000 miles on the VX.
2ND owner flew to Florida from Texas. Drove it back to Texas. He was an older dude who didn't like tilting his head to get in and out. He put 3,000 miles on it.
3rd owner is me. I've put over 70,000 miles on it.
This will be my 4th ZuZu in Moab this year.

I'm an original owner for over eight years. It's been my daily driver the whole way so I have 167,000+ miles behind the wheel of a VX. I'm still having 100% pure fun and I hope my VX is still my daily driver eight years from now.
In less than a year we could see someone proudly proclaim themselves as the first ten year VX original owner in North America. Who will it be?

Use it or loose it! I am original owner, bought new in May 2002, 100,500 miles and going strong! She has been to Moab 3 times as well.

I'm the Original Owner of #0467, I bought it Brand New back in 9/02 from M'Lady Isuzu, Crystal Lake, IL. I think there were only 7 New ones left in the country at the time. I had it shipped 2000 miles to the West Coast. I can remember two weeks after I got it was my first Vehicross Meet (LA meet 11/02).

A few years before I got the VX I was commuting 120 miles a day to work and back. After 3 years I said enough of that and moved to a smaller house only 7 miles from work. That's why my VX only has 25K on it.

'00 Dragon Green bought in '01 had 950 miles before she went to Jesus-land. :(
'01 Ebony bought in '02 and has 46k miles and still running as good as new. :cool:

2nd owner here, original owner was called "Mr. I-MAN" on here. I bought it with 50k on it and now I am sitting at 106k, however the tranny has been rebuilt twice now.
Original owner April 02 with about 63,000 miles on my kaiser silver

Third owner,all owners in Texas,bought it with 60,500 miles.Now have 109,000 still runs great! Daily driver, 4-time Moab veteran this year

Original Owner. Purchase in Nov 2001. 111500 miles, and no major problems. CD and windows still work, and I got 18.2 mpg on my last tank. I've never been off-roading (that video on youtube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RPwfaxRAQi4) was pure fabrication:).) Daily driver...90 miles round trip. Mobil1 oil and filter since the first oil change. Looks, runs, and performs as good as new.

Original owner from April 99 with 119,000 every day miles. Had the urge the other day for something new, but alas that passed again.
Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout. We have a candidate for the first ten year honor, but can he hold on till then?
Did anyone else buy in 4/99?

Dave (Cyrk) and Carl (Carlymac) haven't chimed in but their 99s should be close if not the oldest still owned. I know Carl ordered his before they were available. Neither have posted much lately. Plus Grandpa Bob still have his 99 I believe (his was the prototype for the Alpine supercharger kit).

I bought my '01 Dragon new in '02 but sold to Velvis a few years ago with about 45K miles. 2nd owner of our IronMan which had 95K miles at purchase and is now at about 145K miles. The Ebony has about 47K miles, and I think I'm the 3rd owner there as I don't recall if Velvis (the PO) was 1st or 2nd.

Original owner with supercharger and 83K on mine without any problems what-so-ever!
Original owner, bought new in Sept 2002. Only have 36,000 mi. Daily driver, but work from home most the time and drive the Ninja anytime the weather permits. Besides my wipers needing some paint work, my hood has cracked this winter, and the windows a bit slow... everything else no problems at all.

I am the original owner of a printine 01' Dragon, purchased new in 05/02. She has 34,426 on the clock, my baby is in showroom condition. I plan to be buried in my dragon..LOL!!

Wow, now I feel really old. So lets put a target on my back and have someone else take the lead. I picked mine up from the dealership on tax day 99. Had my deposit down in October of 98 after I heard rumors of US sales. It took the dealership a while to get it going from there. I know there were 511 before me so where ya at?
