Well, this weekend I became a member of this elite group! I was able to persuade Jose (2K1 1K2) to part with his very nice '01. After a 6 hour drive and a visit to the courthouse, I am now an owner! I'm enjoying every mile in 4X4 UFO (the new license plate), and expect that to continue. I want to thank everyone on this forum for all the great help and information that has been posted. A month ago, I didn't know VX's existed, but I was able to get up to speed quickly due to this group. I look forward to years of hangin' out with such a good group of VX fanatics!

Welcome dude. Glad to see you on the forum. When we loose a VXer, its always nice to have the new owner join the fam.

Congrats, I drove to Milwakee, WI for mine. We live relatively near to each other. I live across the river from Louisville.

Hey Randy,

Good deal! Next time I'm up in Clarksville I'll let you know and maybe we can meet in between. Haven't been to Paducah since I was a kid.

Congrads: I drove about 250 miles to pick up my VX about 2 years ago.
Love everyday that I drive the VX.

Are you a golfer as well as a UFO pilot? I'm across the river north into southern IL. Maybe we can meet in Vienna sometime for a round at The Gambit, around springtime that is...unless of course your UFO came equipped with the Weather-Control option. :cooly:

In the meantime. Welcome. :_beer:

Thanks for the welcome, guys. This seems to be a good group of slightly off-center, slightly compulsive, fun loving addicts. I feel at home already!

I'll try to take a few pictures this weekend. That's a great looking VX, Willy. The scoop is a nice touch.

Hey, my Dad is from Paducah. We used to take summer vacations there.

Happen to know any McKinney's?

Randy and group - hello!

hard as it was to part ways with our ol' 2k1 1k2, it's comforting to know that she went home with an enthusiast that will care for her in the same manner as i. it was a pleasure having met Randy and his wife - very nice couple.

group, you all are awesome and i am grateful to have been (still am, right? :o) part of the family. thank you, all.

Randy, welcome!

you're among great company!

Hi, Jose,
Thanks for the kind words. It was great meeting you, and I promise to take good care of #1002. I'm already feeling the first signs of addiction (going to the garage just to look at the VX, frequent communication with other addicts in this group, etc.), and I hold you at least partly responsible!
Thanks again,
Randy
