I know I've seen quite a few cool parking spots the VX helped people get into (mainly on snow) lets see some of them!

the size of the VX helped me with this one.. I managed to parallel park the VX in this spot without touching either of the other cars either! (guy behind me is the last one on the street... so shouldnt have to worry about getting hit... I hope! http://zoidberg.routesys.com/~rc4x4/rcforum/Smileys/old/42.gif

That is some damn fine maneuvering! It's almost impossible to believe.

Impressive especially considering the visibility. Did you have a spotter?

No way. If you did this you should teach drivers ed in your spare time.

i assure you its legit... ive had lots of practice.. high school only had parallel parking usually... there is only parallel parking in front of my house... parallel parking at college now... and lots and lots of U turns in tight spaces let me know exactly where the corners of the VX are.. id bet most of the really experienced offroaders could pull it off.. just a matter of knowing exactly where the VX stops

How many point maneuver was it anyway? I know you'll say you did it in 3 points but I'm guessing it was actually 18:)

I've almost convinced myself to take the dive on a back-up camera but don't know how it will work out with that monstrosity of a spare on the back:confused:

they have the cameras that bolt up to the license plate, try one of those... it was a lot of maneuvering haha.. not sure how many, i was intent on getting into that spot!

Can't imagine me in the city with this VX. I've never taken it to a parking lot....get that close to my car, somebody is gettin' lumped up. That picture disturbs me:eek::eek:

Did you leave before or after the other cars? How much space was there in front of the front car and how much space was there behind the rear car for them to maneuver? The pic makes me very nervous!!! I wouldn't have do it myself...too much chance of getting a mark on my bumpers.

its still there.... there car behind me is at the end of the street.. so thats why i got right up to it, the car in front of me had a couple feet in front.. it looked really well taken care of... and appeared to be there for awhile (had a club on the wheel, nothing visible from outside the car and no faceplate on the HU) so im not too worried.. ill be headed home in an hour or so... will post what i come back to!

I can't tell from the pic....is it U.P., is it Drexel? Doesn't look like PCC, PCA, or Temple, but the Yellow brick in the background looks real familiar. Wayne

Why you engineer, you. My son is six or seven years outta Drexel. Keep at it....you'll do fine. He was making more his second year out, than anyone had paid me in my best year. The toys will be yours my friend;)

"they have the cameras that bolt up to the license plate, try one of those... "

My spare covers where the license plate is s'posed to go so now it's mounted on Tone's receiver hitch (don't think the angle would work - except for checking for oil spots on the pavement under the car parked behind me).

"I've already gotten a job offer from my last co-op"

I can always put in a good word for you with the Gov't:rollb2:

That would have been really difficult to get out of if the other cars were still there! YIPES! That is a risk I am not willing to take! I will take the end spot at the grocery store and park up on the curb so the person parking next to me has plenty of room to open their door without hitting mine! Gotta love urban offroading... :smilewink

You must have learned to drive here in DC. Here, good luck finding a space, and when you do, race for it and park in it as fast as possible, cause you hold up traffic and piss people off.... and they WILL shoot you, hahaha. *thumbs up*

OK. Obviously Eric gets top prize for parking.

Just thought I'd share what I have to go through to make sure I have a parking spot at my own house. That's a 2 foot pile of pea gravel under the Proton.

The only other vehicle that could park there is my 93 FZJ80 (got that Harris?).
