id say if you can find a supercharger(they are discontinued) thats the way to go.. they are well documented on the site already and proven to work by many owners... the only turbocharged VX that i know of turned out looking like this....

Or you can customize one of these centrifugal supercharger setups:

Isuzu Axiom, same motor.

This was a custom setup by Morgan-Tec. He no longer has it and no longer builds custom parts... :(

Without a major reconfiguring of the engine layout (reducing compression etc. etc.) you are not gonna get a whole lot from either approach. You are limited to maybe 5lbs. of boost...tops. 20 or 30 hp. at best. Good thing too...the theoretical limits of this tranny is South of 300hp.---the practical limits are much lower. Three grand for twenty horses isn't much of a horsepower bargain in my book. Chopper

Hey Wayne,

It's actually more like 40-50 hp at the rear. Look for the dynos from Cyrk's compared to mine pre-SC. I still need to schedule a run to compare apples to apples (or would it be bananas to bananas on my proton?).

50 on the driveshaft is much better....at least you can "feel'' it. My point was, if you want a street racer, there are much better platforms out there. This is a hard place to start on a hot rod without a total revamp. P.S. I am not simply trying to goad someone into gutting one, and making an eleven second machine out of it, before I do. No truth to that at all;)

All that space and plumbing could have been avoided if a water to air intercooler was used.
A water to air intercooler is an intercooler with a water jacket on it and can be placed on the side of or on top of the intake. Then a radiator would be plumbed below or in front of the existing water radiator.
This has 3 advantages.
1. There is no need to disfigure the vehicle.
2. Plumbing distance and elbows are GREATLY reduced optimizing the efficiency of the turbo and you wont get the lag as in the set-up above due to the distance being short for the boost to travel.
3. The are new liquids that can be used that dissipate heat much more efficiently than ambient air as in the intercooler (air to air) used in the et-up above.

That was the way we set up the HUMMERS and they where truly, truly beasts….

:p

T/C isnt very likely to happen without Foose (and some $$) or some other fab master on your side at this point. And a S/C is just about as likely now that the kits have gone for a walk on the mammoth's back. :(

My Alpine S/C has been flawless with no problems whatsoever since it's install. Changing the serpentine belt can be somewhat of a problem since you have to dismantle a few things and i'll be getting into that pretty soon. Otherwise, BeeVenom has had a very noticeable change in performance although i don't know exact hp change. I'm figuring probably 40-50hp??? but will dyno it this coming Spring. S/C is the way to go I think.
