How the heck do you get to the bottom of the long heater hose tube to remove the hose clamp??? Reman Engine, coolant leak at the front, intake gasket pinched, knock sensor low output still showing up, and now the damn heater hose was against the egr tube at it made a hole in it. I'm having a heck of a time getting to the bottom clamp. Whats the trick?

Thanks,

If it's a stock clamp you'll want to find some clamp pliers that drive a cable, specific for those types of hose clamps:

John Schellenberg has a set - they were quite useful in removing stock clamps when we did the SC install. Otherwise you'll have to come up with some other way to get it off, but it's tools like this one that the shops use.

Well it looks like the easiest way will be to cut the old clamp off and replace it with a hose clamp so I can tighten it with a long screw driver. Best solution I can come up with.
