filter was probably over-oiled.. reset the light (disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes) and it should right itself after some time, if it keeps happening, remove the filter, clean it and lightly oil it then reinstall

You know, I would be curious. Take it in to a AutoZone, Shucks, whatever you have locally. They normally will plug in and scan for free hoping they can sell you something. Ever since I installed the Morgan Tec cold air induction, I have been getting the CEL and my scan gauge shows a P0113. I don't have the sheet handy, but that is air inlet temp something or other. With the K&N like the Morgan Tec, you are passing more air, wait, that sounds like flatulence. Anyway, not sure if it is the same or what the fix is other then expensive troubleshooting. My mileage is in the ballpark and it seems to be running fine.

well the TOD check light came on but that could just be the trani. so we took the vx to the dealer to fix all this and they called and said "we cant figure out my car because all the manuals dont match up correctly" has anyone been told this before???

Try removing the MAF sensor & cleaning it with MAF cleaner.
I've experienced the same problem in the past & found that excess filter oil was coating the "innards" of the MAF.
Be gentle, as the sensors are very delicate.

Also, the "honeycomb" thinger (an industry term) ;) can be gently removed with a dental pic & tossed if you would like a bit more flow.

Ldub, thanks for the heads-up, will give that a try this weekend.

P-0113... Intake air temp. circuit input high.

Possibly due to unshielded air filter sucking in hot under hood air ?

Just a guess, may be way off.

i recently got k&n cone filter and installed 2 weeks ago. Didnt get check engine light but my intake temp went up so i making headshield for in this weekend. Without heatshield with summer temperatures is BAD.

if you buy one you need make it fit with your hands because they dont make them plug & play so im just making my own and it will be cheaper. Im making mine for a peace of heat shield that i got from my old spa. it was used to keep heat in so im going to make it work with my filter. I got peace size 1 foot so it should be fine and plus you can bend it how you want.

I've done major surgery on my stock air box to keep my K&N cool...
also, I've insulated everything with foil faced 1/4" styrofoam held in place with silicone caulking, & sleeved/insulated my intake pipe.
The stock elbow into the fender cavity has also been removed & large chunks of the front & fender sides of the air box removed, so now it only draws air from the fender cavity & behind the headlight.
I know this works because last time Kenny & I were on a road trip we compared IAT readings (he's stock) while rolling down the same stretch of road...it was ten degrees cooler.
And Kymar, I like your style...make what you need with what you got.
It may not always be pretty, but the job gets done. ;)
