I want to replace the "Isuzu" badge in the grill with a decepticon logo; not a sticker but something made out of metal or plastic. I cant find a logo big enough online. Anyone got any ideas?

What about this? You could paint it two tone to match your VX and then affix it to the grill somehow:

PS - I'm trying to think back though, the Decepticons really never had a car or truck on their side....did they?

Funny thing this came up, but I expected it would with the movie and all. I just ordered a Decepticon decal for mine the other day and will hopefully get it tomorrow. The VX just looks way too Decepticon to me. I can't picture it as an Autobot. Besides, the bad guys used them in Mutant X. They just look a little bit evil. :)

I think the closest things the decepticons really had in the motor vehicle category(and loosely at that) were the constructicons who were construction equipment, and the triple-changing decepticons:Blitzwing(tank), Astrotrain(Train), and Octane(a fuel truck). Also the stunticons were little decepticons who turned into various vehicles to screw with the autobots on the roads. Yeah I had to look that stuff up, I'm a transformer nerd, but not that much of one. I'd definitely put the VX in with the decepticons though, and I will definitely agree with Bart about Cobra. It just seemed especially during the 80's that the bad guys always have the cooler gear, which puts the VX firmly on the side of the decepticons. Autobots sporting fangs and slightly menacing headlights just doesn't work for me.

I feel the same way with the Ironman. I was thinking of putting some temporary logo on, maybe just for the summer or whatever, but there's something about white that's just not too Decepticonish.

that VX transformer looks pretty lame (sorry). From the picture, all it looks like is that it transforms the back half of the vehicle, and then the front is sticking out of his chest.

Sorry - I'm unaffiliated. I think I was about a year too old to really get into Transformers. That was probably the first cartoon & toy line that made me think "WTF is this supposed to be?"

That said, I found the HK toy company that sells the VX transformers:

I just saw the movie. Holy schnikees, the graphics were so intense! I can not believe the amount of detail in the bots and how elaborate the scenes get! I don't know why it is not showing at the IMAX but it should be! Otherwise, you Chevy haters better prepare for one long GM advertisement! But, Bart, I didn't see a single Vette! :)

The Graphics was just amazing, down to the smallest detail. but no kidding on the Chevy/GM adverts, now that I think about it...

My only complaint is that it is a little small and hard to see from far away, but I also like the fact that it it isn't so in your face/obvious. you really have to be looking for it to be noticeable :cool: . Dunno how long ill leave it on for, but for now its the Decepticross!

I just hope, that if they someday decide to do a G.I.Joe movie, a decent director gets the project, because as much as I love Transformers, G.I.Joe was my favorite.

I went to see it with more anticipation than any Star Wars nut waited for Ep's 1-3, and although I would have changed a few things about it if I could, a lot of it was equally impressive. And I think hearing Optimus' original voice really secured the nostalgia of the original generation.

Besides, It could have been a LOT worse...it could have been John Woo.

I'm in on a group buy as well - there are actually 3 different ones, the other two are repaints as Police and Fire vehicles. Naoki has pics of them here:

If you can get the Police and Fire that would be cool (I'd get a couple of each).

BTW - I saw the movie on opening night and was surprised at how good it is - they even used the original cartoon voice for Optimus Prime and the other autobots and decepticons were pretty much in character from the TV show. The fight scenes were incredible - nuff said!

Oh man, John Woo is another of my most unfavorite directors. I actually liked some of his earlier stuff (Hard Boiled, etc) but after I saw Mission Impossible, I was done with Woo.

I think the Transformers movie will have some good action and f/x, but I just hate Michael Bay's spoonfed Hollywood garbage so much, that I refuse to see it. I know I will be disappointed...

Saw the movie this weekend for a free/sponsored private screening with about 100 other Subie drivers and I was quite impressed. For Michael Bay, it was not too shabby, but Spielberg probably kept him in his place during production.

The movie makes me want an Autobot sticker for my VX even more now, heh.

Wish i was former. Still have this bitch. She's caused far too much heartache/pain. 600awhp build & stuff that never materialized. She's up for sale at 3SGTO. Nothing wrong with it--just finally realized that my dreams for it have exceeded my mechanical/technical expertise. That's why I'm keeping my VX mechanically stock.
