Anyone up for a meet here in North Texas during June? (Not fathers day weekend) Short notice but I know there are quite a few VX's in Dallas area.

I would love to get together for lunch or drinks or some such, If you can get anyone else. But I am coming from Sherman, right on the OK/TX border. So I am not sure if I will have the time in my schedule. Depends on when you might get something arranged. Hopefully more people will respond. Maybe July would be good?

How about lunch on Saturday 23rd at 1:00 p.m. Now, here's the fun part. We haven't had a meet in Ft. Worth. Let's do it there. I know there are a few VX owers out that way.

We have the date and the time. Someone from Ft. Worth or the nearby area step up to the plate, and tell us where to meet. We will be in your great city. At least, I know I will be there.

I prefer Dallas, but if everyone else wants Fort Worth then I'll be there. That's a long drive for me, I'm about 20 miles North East of Dallas.

Ft. Worth is even farther for me I will have to think about it. If I had my way I'd rather it be closer than Dallas but I realize the majority would be coming from there so I understand.

So because the interest is on the Dallas side, let's move it to the Dallas side of the Metroplex.

The day and the time will be the same. It will be Saturday, June 23rd at 1:00 p.m. Where would you like to meet? I'm game for where ever.......so the first person to throw something out there is where we will have it. Just pick a place where we can park together, so a big parking lot is NOT a must, but it could be nice.

Plano or Richardson along 75 seem's like the most convenient for TexVex.
How about Hooters or Joe's Crab Shack in Plano? Or Bonedaddys in Richardson? Or make a suggestion.

I have a 50 acre mud pit in my back yard, but the trail of mud to my house, and in my driveway, has kind of given away who keeps plowing it. Me.

Does anyone know another place to wheel locally?

I've never been but hear the 4 wheeling is great, and they have overnight camping. I'm game to check it out if anyone else wants to tag along. If you just want some off the road, muddy, dirt trails I know where plenty are close to my house.

the trip up north also sounds good but I am doing a lot of traveling this month for work... might be hard to take the weekend also...

I know of 2 places near George Bush & 78, between Sachse & Garland.
One has lot's of muddy dirt roads, the other has some large rocks, small hill's, and looks like deep mud along the trail. Wylie is North of Sachse off 78.

Joe's crab shack sounds great. I have always wanted to eat there but never done it. So count me in as long as nothing comes up to prevent it.

As for four wheeling mightn't there be places around some of the nearby lakes? Aren't some closer than 2 hours? I am probably not going to look into that myself because I do not know if I will be up for four wheelin' till I get caught up on all the maintenance I should do to the VX I just got. That is, Not counting some mild 4 wheeling I plan to do at my parents ranch next week.

So is there only going to be three of us if I show?

I noticed only two have confirmed in the events listing. I couldn't confirm due to I have no computer. Using my mother in law's today because the storms that flooded north Texas took out our computer with lightning. They were surge protected. But some something or other still messed up and its in the shop. But I am planning to be there today so I hope at least a couple of other folks can show up. I can't check back on here later , or don't think I can, But I will PM my number to someone who has confirmed and you can call and let me know.

I have a couple of pics and my computer is back online too. Yeah. But a storm is coming in and I have to get off here for now. I will try to look at my pictures soon as I can and post them if they came out ok. But I am sure my pics aren't as good as the others that were taken since my digicam is pretty old.

Anyway, I really enjoyed meeting everyone and am glad I got to go. Sorry I was late, I could have chatted so much more with everyone if I was on time. Sure was cool driving into the parking lot and seeing the line of V-crosses.

Maybe next time my boyfriend can make it. He'd like to meet everyone. He really likes the VX. He got to drive it on some trafficless back roads and going mudding, but he can't see good enough to drive in real traffic. So I look forward to next time and hope to see everyone again soon. And maybe some new folks too. :)

His is one in the middle. Have to zoom in to get closer if not I know can do on my camera real fast when i get home to show a closer picture of scotts rims.
