Getting ready to replace the intake manifold gaskets. Any how-to tips or heads-ups? Most of my concerns are about the fuel rail. I can see the EGR tube needs to be free. Looks like only 4 fasteners on the lower intake. Thanks in advance!..................................RaZe

Lots of bolts to remove and the fuel rail is somewhat difficult to remove by itself. Ideally, leave the upper chamber bolted to the main so you won't have to replace that gasket too. And you can leave the injectors and rail bolted on (at least loosely) as once the 8 intake bolts are removed, you can lift the intake assembly and swap out the gaskets. If you haven't already, download the workshop CD from my site to help with hoses and connectors.

I just had Isuzu do my intake gaskets and charged me $234 less $75 from warranty. Did it in less than 1 hour and works great. Not worth me doing
