Just wunderin', with the ribs being there?

Yes, and depending on the material they can conform to the ribs. My SCCA RallyCross numbers were on some fairly heavy magnetic stock and worked great.

Be prepared if you're thinking about magnetic signs, for dust getting under them and scratching the clearcoat.

Very good point! Put a few extra coats of wax on the door and keep the magnetic signs clean. When not using mine I just stuck them on the side of a file cabinet indoors and always washed and rinsed them immediately before using.

I lost two Blackshirt (Its a Nebraska Cornhusker thing) magnetic signs on a road trip. Interstate driving might just be too much for them with the ribs and all. In my defense it was worth losing them on this particular trip, no regrets.

Remember, those doors are ribbed for HER pleasure.

Yep, ditto to what Joe said. I've left them on and they made it up the interstate with me to Jacksonville from several rallycrosses in Ft. Meade and one in Homestead, which are 4.5 and 5.5 hour trips respectively. I just took some time to be careful and made sure they followed the contours right with no gaps for wind to get up under. In the pic, only about a third of it is on the ribbing, but I've had the whole thing on it before, too. Unless it is really weak material, it ought to hang in there. And I second the warnings about leaving them on there too long, too.
