Thanks Gary, for your reply. Sounds like there's really no way I'm going to get out of this without spending close to $4,000. :(

Hell, if you're gonna spend the $$, may as well do it right and go the manual route. That's my plan anyways. She gives the tranny ghost, I go stick. Good luck chief.

So, after 160K+ miles, one rebuilt 3.5, various and sundry other stuff you guys (and gals) are all too familiar with, last week, all of a sudden, my tranny started slipping --- badly. I barely made it home and ended up needing to have it towed to...

600 miles a day is booking. I found it to be nearly at the limit of my personal capabilities, so 7 seems doable. I can't imagine going back to the west coast though. Gonna have to take it to Savannah, just to complete the cross-country tour. ...

Well I made it to Oregon. Burned some oil, had to change out two tires but other than that it was a great trip. I was quite suprised at how comfortable the trip was. I took 7 days to go 3500 miles and had some nice visits with friends and family....

I also pulled 2 skid plates off of a 95 Rodeo so those do work but am still short one too. I am getting a winch behind the bumper, roof rack and pre-runners made at a fab shop, I will ask them if that could make a simple skid plate to cover the area...

I think it would have been worth $6k-$10k depending on the condition of the paint and how many miles it had on it. I am sure you could find some comps that have sold but it might take some digging. I also agree that posting this on Facebook would...

JonneB you really need to determine if your VX burns/consumes oil, and if so, what , if any circumstances, it does it, and any pattern it may have. Several very well maintained VXs have had sudden oil disappearance and failed, unexpected and...

There was a good amount of BFH work! Plus I had to have my sliders cut down about 1" on the front. The stock rims are +38 and of course the stock rim with the stock tire size does not stick out at all, so that 51mm won't stick out that amount, it...
