I am coming up on one year as a VX owner, and I had a chance today to take it out for it’s second off-road test. After nearly a year (June 30th will be one year), I have only managed to put around 3500 miles on the VX. It has been a long road to get...

Ive got a full set of KYB gas-a-just cheapo's to put on the VX. Thought i'd tear into that today. Come to find out the left front factory KYB is practically welded to the car after spending 145,000 miles on the east coast. So... I put it back...

If I was able to I would. Sounds sweet, and the transmission, as much as it is a pain to keep working on, really isn’t difficult to work on. Just time consuming as all get out. I have one weeping gasket issue to fix and the I should be done with it...

@ipd Totally agree about the loom. At least one of the previous owners of my VX didn’t do that. The OEM plug is still there, but wires are cut everywhere. Made it a real PITA to install an aftermarket head unit.

If you do try disconnecting the TOD computer, also add manual locking ( $100.00 new or very cheap at a pick/pull) hubs. I run this way 40,000+ miles.. That will solve anyother problems with your driveline that might occur. It the fuse blows when the...
